However the dangers of social networking sites may sometimes outweigh the benefits and it would not be for its purpose. The initial purpose of social networking is to allow people to socialise and communicate using the internet at the comfort of their home whilst handling other daily tasks efficiently, which has been fulfilled during the course of the evolving social networking service.
- There should be someone constantly monitoring these sites to prevent any chances of cyber bullying or organised crimes. This will also help in decreasing of cyber bullying taking place because the bully will know he/she is being watched, which means he can get caught easily and may arrested under the computer misuses act.
- Once you have deleted an account these sites should never keep any of your personal information and destroy it all. Also websites such as facebook make it really easy for people to reactivate deleted accounts making people addicted to keep coming back. Once someone has deactivated the only way to reactivate should be by creating a new account.
