Fitness for purpose:
Improvements:
- Email is fit for purpose it’s because its main priority is to send a message to one person or a group of people effectively meaning that it should be advantageous to sending a letter. The disadvantages for email are small minor bugs that don’t affect the user too much often and also the advantages always will overcome the disadvantages because sending an email is so much easier and convenient for example it is cheaper as you don’t have to pay for stamp and also paper.
Improvements:
- Many Emails providers have a capped size of the maximum files size that is sendable through a single email. Now this could be affected by bandwidth but most emails service providers should increase the limit of the maximum file size that can be sent.
- Have a way to know if the email has been sent to the right destination. (Emails can often get lost). This is a must because people don't feel safe when sending emails if they don't know the whereabouts of an email.
- There should be an option where you can tell if the message has gone to its desire destination and has also been checked by the recipient. This will assure people that the email has been checked by the recipient.
- There should be anti-virus software running on the email servers so that people are not victims of viruses being transferred onto their PC. These anti-virus software should make sure that the attachments that are sent with email are virus free.
