Email was an early online technology (1971). Its use has grown exponentially as the internet has developed. Using email is quite simple. E-mail can be used on a mobile phone connected using GPRS, WAP and SMS. To use email it is necessary to have a connection to an E-mail server (which manages the distribution and storage of the mails) and to have an E-mail client. Email is a communication service that is used all over the world. Most emails are sent formally and they are also mostly sent for professional reasons. They can be sent to one person or multiple people at one time. There are two different types of emails servers one of which is POP3 and the other being IMAP4. POP3 deletes the email off the server once it has been opened whereas IMAP4 keeps the email until it is deleted intentionally.
